What is the oldest city in Germany?

The oldest city in Germany is Trier, located in the South West. It's believed that Trier has existed since 4BC, meaning that it existed before the Romans! 300 years after it was founded, the Romans invaded Trier, where this city was then significant as one of the seven electors of the Holy Roman Empire.
