Baubo Series, Nature Goddess Sculpture

Baubo, goddess of the womb, is the feminine deity that inspires this series, an extension of the woman through the earth, branching off in the seed, the root and the flower, and also a communion with her waters but no longer as an element intrinsic of these, but as a traveling body that travels its worlds through the boat. Boat, in turn hip and belly; container bowl where human life is generated. The body as a boat, where the journey begins in a possibility of multiple slopes with infinite variations, because it is the spiritual, emotional journey, which allows us the transformation of the human being. And this I have lived in my experience as an artist who has traveled. I have been able to experience the process of seeing how each of these trips has left in me a trace that has been transformative and that in some way I am a reference for my personal, artistic and relationship process.
