The Final Fantasy 7 Remake project takes place in the same universe as the original game, featuring the same characters but significantly changing the storyline.
FF7 Remake is produced by the game’s original creators, who split the series into three titles.
The second installment, Rebirth, follows the narrative introduced in FF7 Remake’s initial release in 2020. FF7 Remake Intergrade was an upgraded edition that became available for PlayStation 5 and Windows in 2022.
In Rebirth, players will experience a range of new elements as the story progresses, leading to the party’s journey to The Forgotten Capital from the original FF7 series released in 1997.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth release date
The game’s official release date is February 29, 2024. At the time of writing, Rebirth is a PlayStation 5 exclusive title.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Collector’s Edition preorder guide
The collector’s edition is available exclusively on the official Square Enix store and is priced at US$349.99.
The set includes all the content from the deluxe version. It also has extra in-game bonus items and a limited edition 19-inch Sephiroth statue.
