Amazing fun! Easy to learn! Worth the money!
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this product! Super fun to ride. Easy to learn and has a fantastic self balancing mechanism! I never did rollerblading, skating of any kind and I was able to pick it up in a day or two. Amazing!

Loving it!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s easy to ride (once you practice for a little bit) and the only negative thing about it is my shins hurt (get sore) from riding it for long periods of time. I think it has to do with me always leaning forward (speed demon here). I ride this thing everyday now for the past few weeks to work and back, and I actually look forward to it, it’s fun, not as fast as a vehicle but I can literally smell the flowers as I go to work and back home ;) great purchase, I did wish it went a little faster but in some ways I am glad it doesn’t because I would probably hurt myself.

Dead On Arrival
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointing, ordered item and wrapped it as the big gift for all my kids for Christmas. It was opened Christmas morning to extreme excitement and soon after I realized it was dead. It would not not turn on nor would it charge.

I LOVE Segway!!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have done Segway tours all over the world during my vacations, and I love them. I jumped at the chance to get this when it went on sale during the holidays and it's working great over half a year later. It's the personal version which is smaller and limiting in terms of incline/power/speed compared to the bigger ones we're all used to. It works great on paved concrete and cement, flat surface, and 10 mph is pretty fast. It has automatic slow down feature, although I personally don't like it but probably good for kids. And the self-balancing is great technology, better than other products. The knee controls are easy to get used to and maneuver; however, I'm used to handles so I purchased a handlebar accessory (third party) which can also be used as knee controls. Overall, great product. Easy to use. Charge lasts long. App is good to track distance/location and lock. Thanks Best Buy for bringing Segway to my local store!

Solid Build. Fun but challenging
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a blast to ride. I use it to commute in a downtown environment daily. HOWEVER, it is challenging to ride well. Think high end scateboard. The bumps and lips in a typical sidewalk/road are challenging to get over without feeling like you will fall, or actually falling. It's took me about two weeks to become moderately skilled and I now hit full speed pretty regularly (at first you won't be comfortable with that speed). Make sure to buy a helmet and wear regularly. Even though I consider myself pretty good at it, and haven't fallen off yet, I could easily imagine falling off at 10 mph (which is actually faster than it seems).

Really cool, but steering bar hurts.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nifty machine, I bought one for fun. I'd use this recreationally, as you're probably not supposed to be on the sidewalks in many places, but it's a bit dangerous to ride in streets. You're standing up, so any crack, pothole, etc, can catch this and you'd go flying off. Definitely make sure to wear a helmet, knee, elbow, and wrist protection with this. Too many people get thrown off standing devices like these or scooters and can break a collarbone. Because it's small enough to be portable, you can drive it to a bike path, or somewhere with protected bike lanes, and ride it there. Using it is really easy. You'll pick it up in about 10 seconds. It's self-balancing which is really cool, so one you learn to step on, you'll be up and running in a minute. Leaning forward or backward to move, and swaying gently side to side to turn a particular way feels really natural. You need to ride for a certain distance in safety mode before you can unlock full speed, which is a good idea. You can put it back into safety or new rider mode in the Segway app, which is good if you let someone else try it for the first time (it limits the speed). The app also has other options, such as changing the glow / lighting color and modes, locking the device, and seeing the speed you're going, how far you've traveled, battery/distance remaining, etc. The reason I knocked off 2 stars is that the knee bar that you lean against is really uncomfortable, to the point that it hurts. It's not adjustable, so it's stuck at the height that it's at. Depends on your height, but for me it hits just in and slightly under the inner knee, where it's delicate. It hurts and is uncomfortable any time I need to turn and push my leg against the bar, which is obviously a problem. I did purchase a third party steering column ($50-$60), so that may mitigate the problem, but it hasn't come yet. You basically take off the knee steering column, and install that instead. I purchased one that collapses so I can still use it as a knee steering column, or an adjustable height steering column. Kind of like how the original Segway were set up, so you still move by leaning forward or backward, but turn by using the bar with your hands. I think that will have the added benefit of some stability if you need something to hold on to, in bumpier areas. However, an adjustable bar should have come with the device, so that's a problem. I've also purchased a third party kickstand for $12. Super easy to install and totally worth it. Self balancing turns off once you turn off the device, so the kickstand is nice in that it keeps the device from falling over when you're done with it. Overall this is a fun, but potentially dangerous device that you need to treat with caution and respect while riding. It's nifty, fun, but can be very uncomfortable to ride for some people at a certain height.

Q: QuestionIs there a weight limit? I would primarily use this to get mail and newspaper at the end of my driveway. I weigh about 250lbs. Is the range 13.7 miles??
Asked by Busagod.
- A:Answer Hi Busagod, thank you for your question. Yes, 13.7 miles is the approximate range of this product, keeping in mind several factors do go into estimating range. We do recommend a payload of 88-220 lbs. I hope this helps answer your questions. Have a great rest of your day.

Q: QuestionI see that this goes max 10 mph , Is this the average mph for most of the basic ninebot segways? My daughters friend has two of them .... I thought they went faster? Let me know please.
Asked by KMAC.
- A:Answer It goes 10mph easily either uphill, level, or downhill. Plenty fast enough for most, feels like 50mph. It could go plenty faster, but the Segway limits itself and automatically slows it’s accelerating, even downhill it wont overspeed on you. Much like its own cruise control. The App lets you set the speed based on your skill level. I even discovered this goes off road pretty well too if you wanted to explore other new areas. Perfect for dog walking effortlessly making walks a piece of cake and keep and up with your pet.Battery life is unbelievable

Q: QuestionSAFETY LEVEL FOR 60 YEAR OLD MAIL ?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer 60+ With multiple sclerosis, that affects ability to walk and have used larger Segway for 10 years and this smaller one since it started selling a few years ago. At 30 lbs, easy to transport in car so can use for shopping and other needs. Can pull a cart around Sams with ease. Get the handle - feels much more secure and easy on/off for storage and transport. I can get it out off the trunk and attach the handle in under 20 seconds. Game changer for those with disability that want to stand and not sit. The Segway/self-balancing technology provides an unimaginable level of freedom and mobility when used by those with a disability and are able to use it safely...and it’s fun as well! It does all the balancing and provides a safer way for me to walk. Have put on more than 3000 miles at work and home that I never could have done without the two Segways. Ninebot is the company that bought Segway a few years ago. They have come out with several models since then and have added Bluetooth, remote control, ‘follow-me, lights and other accessories like kickstands.

Q: QuestionIf i order a Ninebot Segway and pick it up from you all will up assemble it for me or do i do it alone??
Asked by Sarah.
- A:Answer I had mine delivered and had to assemble it. It was super easy to assemble. If I remember correctly there were only two fasteners. They provide an Allen wrench needed to tighten the fasteners. I would suspect that if you purchase in store the Geek Squad could probably assemble for you. Good luck.
