Harding Cheerleader General Information

The Harding cheerleading squad is a group of 16-18 cheerleaders. Prospective cheerleaders must try out in person at one of two tryouts offered (spring or summer). Video submissions can not be considered.

Candidates must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0. Freshman must meet entrance requirements of the university. Cheerleaders must maintain a full-time course load in order to receive the scholarship. All uniforms, travel expenses and travel meals are provided.

Cheerleaders must report to campus to participate in cheerleading camp one week prior to the beginning of classes. Cheerleaders are allowed to attend one of Harding's campuses overseas (at cheerleaders own expense) during their year of commitment to cheerleading. Cheerleading sponsor must be notified prior to tryouts.

Cheerleaders must commit to time for practice up to three days a week during the fall semester and two days a week during the spring semester. The cheerleading contract is for the full school year. If a cheerleader breaks the contract, they will forfeit their scholarship money.
