This is a picture of Seppuku. Seppuku is the honorable way of committing subside. What happens is that you cut horizontally through your belly and before you cry out, your pier decapitates you. Its is a more humane version of harakiri, where you cut horizontally and vertically. In harakiri there is nobody that decapitates you to end the pain.
